Membership Registration
Dear New or Prospective New Member: As golf course professionals we face many challenges in a profession that is ever changing. Information is one of our most important assets to meet the challenges and make decisions that will benefit our golf course and our club. The AGCSA has set up many avenues to support our membership including funding for research and the education of our future turf managers. The AGCSA board has set up another great year of meetings at some of the top clubs in our state. The format most often consists of a business meeting, educational speaker, lunch and golf. Speakers will educate us on issues that are relevant to our industry. These meetings are a great opportunity to network with colleagues from around the state. As a member you will also receive the AGCSA magazine, The Alabama Green Journal. The Journal contains articles of interest to our profession and news about what’s going on in the industry. Also included are updates on AGCSA meetings, and profiles of AGCSA superintendents, vendors and golf courses. In January the AGCSA publishes a Membership Directory so that everyone can stay in touch. To broaden our base of communication the AGCSA set up a website (agcsa.org) in 2001. The strength of any organization is in its members, and your participation will only enhance an already strong organization. It is a requirement that applicants who are Class A or Superintendent Members must also be members of the GCSAA. If you have any questions about your membership, please call Melanie Bonds, our Executive Secretary at 205-967-0397.
